WKU Baseball will face the New Mexico State University Aggies Wednesday, kicking off the Hilltoppers’ Conference USA tournament campaign.
The Hilltoppers swept the Aggies during regular-season play on the road May 9-11, outscoring NMSU 41-8, including a seven-inning run-rule game two.
WKU dropped two of three games in its last series of the season against Jax State. The Hilltoppers outhit Jax State but also left 32 on base.
NMSU also dropped two of three games in their last regular season series at LA Tech. The Aggies were outscored 25-18.
The Hilltoppers finished the regular season with a conference-high .316 team average and a conference-low 3.28 team ERA.
The Aggies ended the season with a .289 team average, the third highest in CUSA, and a 7.85 team ERA, the second highest in CUSA.
