UPDATED: A statement from team spokesman Kyle Neaves clarified that Tribble was not on the roster at the time of his arrest.

“Following spring football practices, Preston was removed from the roster and was not an active team member at the time of the incident,” Neaves said in the statement. “He had previously walked on to the team.”

WKU junior offensive lineman Preston Tribble was arrested on Saturday and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and first degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), according to the Warren County Regional Jail’s online database.

Tribble was booked into Warren County Jail at 6:59 p.m. according to the jail website. He is currently being held with no bond.

Tribble hails from Hendersonville, Tennessee, where he played for Beech High School. The 6-foot-4-inch offensive lineman transferred to WKU from Vol State. He played tight end and linebacker in high school, according to Maxpreps.
