Coming off of a road loss to Louisiana Tech on Saturday, the Hilltoppers return to Diddle Arena tonight to take on Texas-San Antonio, who are currently tied for the lead in the Conference USA standings. Here are 10 key numbers for UTSA.

12-9: In the 2018-2019 season, the Roadrunners have accumulated a record of 12 wins and 9 losses. Five of those losses were suffered in the first five games of UTSA’s season. The Roadrunners suffered a 77-76 loss in their season opener against Division II team St. Edwards.

2: The Roadrunners have come out with the victory in their last two games, defeating Old Dominion 74-73 on January 26th and Charlotte 88-43 on Jan. 24. The team is looking to earn its third straight win.

1.68: UTSA averages 12.8 turnovers per game this season, while its opponents have averaged 14.5, giving the Roadrunners a turnover differential of 1.68 on the season, good for fifth in C-USA. The Hilltoppers have struggled with turnovers already this season, averaging 14.9 per game.

“We have turnovers where lazy passes, losing our dribble, walks, charges just the stuff we can fix,” sophomore guard Taveion Hollingsworth said Wednesday. “Once we fix this, we’ll be fine.”

19.2: Sophomore guard Keaton Wallace ranks second on the team in scoring this season with an average of 19.2 points per game. In their game Saturday against Old Dominion, Wallace hit a 3-pointer in the last 15 seconds of the game to secure the win for the Roadrunners.

18: In the second largest comeback in the last five minutes in NCAA Division I history, UTSA came back from an 18-point deficit against ODU on Saturday. The win took them to first place in C-USA. ESPN set the probability of UTSA coming out with the win at 0.1 percent with 3:29 remaining in the game.

89.9: ESPN has given the Hilltoppers an 89.9 percent chance to pull off the win on Thursday. But a high win probability hasn’t always guaranteed a victory for the Hilltoppers. At the beginning of WKU’s loss to Troy on Dec. 16, WKU was given an 87.8 percent chance to win. In the defeat at Indiana State on Nov. 24, the Hilltoppers were given a 77.8 percent chance early on.

74-63: The last time WKU faced UTSA was in February 2018, ending in a 74-63 win for the Roadrunners.

“We came to San Antonio and we didn’t show up,” WKU head coach Rick Stansbury said on Wednesday. “We got beat in a hurry. They shot the ball, and they played well. We didn’t play very well.”

28: Sophomore guard Jhivvan Jackson, who leads C-USA in scoring, led the team in scoring in UTSA’s victory against Charlotte. He put up 28 of the team’s 88 points. Jackson was 57.9 percent (11-of-19) in field goal attempts and 50 percent (6-of-12) from the 3-point line.

7.1: Junior forward Byron Frohen has led the team in rebounds this season, averaging 7.1 per game, putting him seventh in C-USA in rebounds per game. UTSA also leads the conference in defensive rebounds with 28.2 per game.

3.4: WKU has a scoring average of 70.1 and has given up an average of 70.2 points per game. UTSA puts an average of 76.6 points on the board per game, and gives up an average of 73.2 points per game. WKU is ninth in the conference with a scoring margin of 0.8, while UTSA is seventh in the conference with a margin of 3.4.
