WKU’s acting executive director for Mahurin Honors College announced

A new acting executive director for the Mahurin Honors College for the 2018-19 academic year at WKU has been announced.

Michael Smith, WKU biology professor, will serve as the acting executive director until the end of the 2018-19 academic year, Provost David Lee announced in a campus-wide email on Monday.

“Michael has worked extensively with Mahurin Honors College programs over the years, and he’s well-prepared to do excellent work in this important role,” Lee said in his email.

Craig Cobane, executive director of the Mahurin Honors College, will spend the 2018-19 academic year as an American Council on Education Fellow and will return to his executive director position upon completion of the year, according to WKU.
