Rising redshirt sophomore quarterback Steven Duncan was arrested on a DUI charge Sunday morning, according to the Warren County Regional Jail’s online information system.
Duncan was processed through the Warren County Regional Jail at 2:43 a.m. on Sunday, according to the online information system. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, failure to produce insurance card and failure to illuminate his headlights.
“We are aware of the situation and currently gathering more information,” the WKU football program said in a statement. “We take this matter very seriously as a football program.”
A court date has not yet been set.
Duncan has played in one game for WKU football. He completed 2-of-2 pass attempts in his redshirt freshman season. He was competing for the team’s starting spot during spring football, which ended on Saturday with the annual Red vs. White Spring Game. Duncan split reps with redshirt senior Drew Eckels during the game.
