The crowd cheers as Kristina Arnold, an associate art professor at WKU, raises her hands with enthusiasm after announcing the guest speakers at “the Women’s March on Washington Call for Action celebration of Women’s Day” on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at the Fountain Square Park. Arnold led and helped organize the march. She said it was important to her for the march to bring awareness to intersectionality. “The entire community is not made stronger if one group is held back,” Arnold said. “We don’t change a group here or a group there, we change all together. We are stronger when we work together.”
