Lexington senior Alex Miller who is a transgender man, jokes with his girlfriend Courtney Smith while visiting Miller’s doctor so he can begin testosterone injections. The testosterone which he plans to take for the rest of his life will deepen his voice, increase his muscle mass and spur facial hair growth but has the potential side effects of making his voice crack and increasing acne. “It’s like going through puberty again,” he said.
