Head baseball coach John Pawlowski has solidified the coaching staff for his inaugural season at the helm of Hilltopper baseball.

Pawlowski’s contract was approved by the Board of Regents at the third quarterly meeting last week, putting the new head coach on a contract through June of 2019 that includes $160,000 base salary, a yearly evaluation in which he is subject to a base salary increase, and a span of bonus opportunities that range from athletic performance incentives to academic performance incentives.

Pawlowski’s contract, similar to former head coach Matt Myers contract (which was good for just $125,000 a year in base salary) includes a clause in it that states if the coach is not terminated with cause by June 2019, his contract automatically goes up for renewal.

Closure came in the search for the rest of the WKU baseball coaching staff when Pawlowski announced on Monday that former Hilltopper catcher Devin Kelly has retained his position as a volunteer assistant coach and former Hilltopper Gaston Glasscock will join the program as director of baseball operations.

Both coaching selections were made internally through the University as Kelly retains the position he held last season under former head coach Matt Myers. Glasscock was also on staff last year as a manager—a position he held for three seasons before receiving the promotion.

The coaching staff is now complete for the 2016 season, with Pawlowski at the helm, Ty Megahee as recruiting coordinator, Rob Reinstetle as hitting coach and Kelly and Glasscock added as volunteer assistant and director of operations respectively. Â
