A pipe burst in Minton Hall on Saturday causing the lobby and areas of the dorm to flood.

The first, second and third floors of the hall flooded.

Elevators are out of order. Water has been shut off while maintenance works to clean up the damage.

Flooding began between 7 and 7:30 p.m., Paducah freshman Michaela Jones said.

“Well, I was in the lobby whenever we heard water gushing down and we looked up and it was just coming from the ceiling,” said Jones.

Housing and Residence Life staffers declined to comment.
