WKU picked second in Conference USA Poll, Langenkamp tabbed Preseason Player of the Year

The WKU volleyball team enters Conference USA picked to finish second by the league’s 13 head coaches in its preseason poll.

Defending C-USA champion Texas-San Antonio was tabbed as the preseason favorite.

Junior middle hitter Noelle Langenkamp was selected as the preseason player of the year. 

Fellow junior Haley Bodway and senior Heather Boyan were selected to the C-USA preseason All-Conference team. 

Langenkamp finished her sophomore campaign with the team’s second best hitting percentage of .411, also good for 15th nationally. The Cincinnati, Oh. native is a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference player. 

Langenkamp also finished second on the team with blocks in 2013 with 97. 

WKU won the Sun Belt Conference regular season title last season, going 17-1 in the league and 27-6 overall.

While a member of the Sun Belt, WKU won five SBC tournament championships, 10 regular season titles and made seven NCAA tournament appearances.
