Van Meter Hall was packed nearly to capacity Monday night when theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku appeared as the capstone speaker to the 2013-2014 Cultural Enhancement Series.

Kaku’s lecture stemmed from material he discusses in his newest book “The Future of the Mind: The Scientific Quest to Understand, Enhance, and Empower the Mind.”

Topics included where technology might take the human race in the upcoming decades, how it will be used to go about daily life, and reversing symptoms of diseases such as Alzheimer’s. 

The Cultural Enhancement Series line-up for the 2014-2015 school year will be announced in the coming weeks.
