Rainfall causes flooding in Cravens
February 5, 2014
Heavy rainfall last night caused a portion of Cravens Library to flood. Among the sections in the building affected by the flood were the Student Activities office located in in room 13 of the building.
Charles Harrison, maintenance services manager, said the building is vulnerable to flooding.
“When we get high volume rains, we normally get leakage in the basement of that facility,” Harrison said.
Harrison said Charley Pride, director of student activities, said the flood damage that occurred was minimal.
The sections of the building affected by the flood are currently undergoing flood damage repair. The Student Activities office is scheduled to fully reopen tomorrow.
