Hip-hop artist Future graced the stage Saturday night at the Sloan Convention Center.

Students had been anticipating his arrival since Startin5ive, the group that helped bring Future to Bowling Green, announced it on their Twitter page.

As soon as the “Turn On the Lights” singer came out, the crowd went wild.

Future performed hits off his album, “Pluto,” as well as songs he is featured on.

Fans in attendance were grateful that Future came to Bowling Green to perform.

Janise Milan, a former WKU student, said she enjoyed herself at the concert.

“I wish it lasted longer,” Milan said. “There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the concert.”

Milan said she tweeted Future after the concert saying, “Kentucky loves you.”

Victoria Tiken, of Evansville, Ind., said she thought the concert was cool.

“It’s Future, what’s not to like?” she said.

Tiken said she was really glad there wasn’t any drama.

“It’s hard not to get any drama at a concert,” she said.

Nashville, Tenn. student Patrick Morgan, of Startin5ive, said there was a really good turn out.

“Hopefully, bigger and better will be coming soon,” Morgan said.
