To the Herald readers – 

I want to apologize to you for a recent tweet I posted. After overhearing a passing comment regarding the Tuesday edition of the paper, I took to Twitter to vent my frustrations. The tweet was in poor taste and it reflected poorly on me, my work and the Herald. The tweet was my own opinion and in no way reflects the Herald. I take full responsibility for the remark, and I can assure you, Herald readers, that it is a mistake I will never make again. Considering the Herald’s recent coverage of social media, my error is especially humbling. I have learned just because I have the right to say something does not mean that I should say it. I have always valued the opinions of you, the readers, and I hope that you can forgive me for this mistake. I am sorry that I have not lived up to the standards that are expected of me.
