A variety of bills were dealt with at Tuesday night’s Student Government association meeting.

SGA passed two bills — one allotting $2,500 in organizational aid and the other allocating funding for the Sixth Annual Pearce-Ford Tower Thanksgiving Dinner.

The organization aid bill recommends $500 each to the Vietnamese Student Association, League of Sculptors, WKU Dodgeball Club, Lambda Pi Eta and Women’s Club Volleyball.

The Annual PFT Thanksgiving Dinner received $220 from general senate funding for the dinner, which is being co-sponsored by SGA and Housing and Residence Life.

Two other bills were up for their first reads at Tuesday’s meeting, but SGA suspended the bylaws so the bills could be voted on tonight. Both bills passed.

One bill allocated funding for ACM, Paintball Club, and the Spanish Club. The bill will allocate $1,179 from the Organizational Aid fund with the following recommendations: $365 for ACM, $314 for The Paintball Club, and $500 for the Spanish Club.

The second bill regarded funding to purchase a video camera for the Technology Resource Center. The bill allocates $600 from general senate funding.

Two presidential appointments were made following the removal of two SGA senators for excessive absences. The new senators are Cain Alvey and Andreu Edge.

Other items discussed include Dine with Decision Makers, which is Dec. 1, and that the Hilltoppers Vote t-shirts, which were ordered for Election Day last week, are now said to be available in the SGA office.

Next week’s meeting has been canceled due to Thanksgiving break.
