How They Fared: WKU Football Week Four

This week is a little different since WKU is coming off a bye week. But plenty happened around the Sun Belt that needs to be noted. 

Last week, it was hard for me not to give WKU the red arrow against North Texas, despite the poor season the Mean Green have had. That all changed this week when North Texas upset Indiana at home — a team that beat WKU 38-21 last season.

Louisiana-Lafayette looked like one of the more winable games for WKU this season, but the Ragin’ Cajuns pulled off the upset over Sun Belt favorite Florida International on the road.

Head Coach Willie Taggart said the Toppers spent their bye week “getting back to the basics,” but how much improvement was made remains to be seen. That being said, the outlook for WKU this season reamins pretty bleak.
