Per a WKU release:

WKU is challenging MTSU to a blood donation drive to see whose fans will show their support and hold out an arm for the American Red Cross on November 15th – 17th.  The winner of the drive will be announced at halftime of the WKU vs. MTSU football game on November 20th in Houchens-Smith Stadium.  Both schools have partnered with the American Red Cross to plan and facilitate this event, which could become an annual event in the future.  The WKU blood drive is sponsored by the WKU Agriculture Department.

“As everyone knows, we truly enjoy a tremendous rivalry with Middle Tennessee State University and we look forward to competing against them throughout the year,” WKU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ross Bjork said.  “The American Red Cross Blood Drive competition is such a unique and special opportunity to show your school spirit and provide a life saving resource for those in need.  We encourage the entire WKU community to give blood during the competition and help save lives while supporting the Hilltoppers.”
