Joe Denning, Brian “Slim” Nash, Bill Waltrip and Bruce Wilkerson won the four seats on the Bowling Green City Commission tonight.

Denning, Nash and Wilkerson were incumbents.

The unsuccessful candidates were Jerry Wells, Robin Baldwin and Mark Bradford, who weren’t immediately available for comment.

Wilkerson said he wants to make sure the city takes care of important services, such as the fire department, street maintenance and the police department.

He said he doesn’t have any specific projects in mind that he’s working on.

Wilkerson said he wants to make sure the residents are getting their “dollar’s worth” in services.

Denning said the commission still needs to watch its income and especially its spending for future projects.

Like Wilkerson, Denning said he’ll work to continue to provide basic city services.

“Other than that I just want to watch our tax payer’s money,” he said.

Waltrip and Nash weren’t immediately available.
