Several WKU Honors College students volunteered at Chaney’s Dairy Barn seventh birthday celebration last Saturday and Sunday.

Volunteers helped with carnival booths, hayrides, face-painting and judged a coloring contest sponsored by Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation.

Owner Debra Chaney said this is the second year WKU Honor’s students have helped out at the event.

“I think we had about 20 helping out,” she said. “12 came on Saturday and eight on Sunday.”

The weather, guest turn-out and cheerful volunteers made the celebration a success, Chaney said.

She said she looks forward to working with the Honors College again.

Chaney said her business will continue to contribute to Honors events by providing ice cream and sponsorship.

“I also hope to give back to them what they gave to us,” she said.
