Junior setter Lauren Stuckel has been dismissed from the WKU volleyball team due to “some team violations,” Head Coach Travis Hudson told the Herald on Friday.

Stuckel was not at Diddle Arena for the Lady Toppers’ 3-0 sweep of Florida Atlantic.

Hudson would not elaborate on what the violations were but “wished her well.”

“I will certainly help her anyway I can moving forward, but we have a certain integrity along with being a part of our program, and that is something we have to protect,” Hudson said.

Stuckel lost her spot as starting setter this season to freshman Melanie Stutsman. She has since only rotated in and out of the lineup to serve.

Last year, the junior ranked second in service aces with 44, finishing only behind now-graduated Lindsey Gould.

Hudson said there’s no chance Stuckel would return to the team this season.
