Horn adds Florida State transfer
For the second time in three years a Florida State basketball player will transfer to the Hill.
Benson Callier is following the big footsteps of Nigel Dixon in making the move from the Seminoles to the Toppers. Callier sit out this season because of NCAA transfer rules. He has two years of eligibility remaining after seeing limited action for two seasons at Florida State.
“The biggest thing Benson brings is experience,” Western coach Darrin Horn said in a press release. “He has a tremendous amount of athleticism and versatility.
Last season, Callier played 53 minutes in 11 games and averaged 1.4 points per contest.
Callier recorded a career-high 13 points against North Carolina in 2002-03.
