The College Heights Foundation plans to demolish a house at 509 Regents Ave. to create space for parking. The property backs up to the foundation’s newly dedicated Cliff Todd Center on Chestnut Street.

The house had deferred maintenance and a compromised roof, said Donald Smith, president of the College Heights Foundation. “It did not make financial sense to invest resources back in this property that did not serve any immediate or long-term needs,” he said.

“We will evaluate options in the future to determine how to best use the property to facilitate the needs of the institution and the development of the campus master plan,” Smith said.
