WKU sent out a message on Monday informing Fall 2021 graduates of changes to commencement which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, Dec. 10.

“Given the amount of damage in the area and the ongoing nature of recovery and relief efforts in the community, WKU will not be able to reschedule graduate recognition ceremonies this semester,” the email from the Registrar’s Office said.

Instead, the university will expand the spring commencement ceremony to include December 2021 graduates, according to the email.

Degrees will be conferred and transcripts will be available this month when final grades are posted.

According to the email, commencement for Fall 2021, Spring 2022 and Summer 2022 graduates will be held at E.A. Diddle Arena on Friday, May 6, at the following times:

College of Health and Human Services – 8:00am

Potter College of Arts & Letters – 10:30am

Ogden College of Science and Engineering – 1:00pm

College of Education and Behavioral Sciences – 3:30pm

Gordon Ford College of Business – 6:00pm

The Registrar’s Office will be in communication with graduates regarding this ceremony closer to the time of commencement, according to the email.
