Late Nite Sweets N Treats serves a wide variety of dessert items late into the nighttime hours, even until 2 a.m. some days.

Conchetta Bell, owner of the business, said she got the idea when she was working a third shift, when getting off late meant nowhere to grab something sweet.

“We should have a place that sells late night desserts,” Bell said. “I sat on the idea for like two years.”

After her fiancé at the time bought her baking supplies and she began, Bell put her ideas and turned them into reality. She explained that he pushed her to pursue this idea, and reassured her that it was something that she should create.

“It came from me working those hours and seeing that there was a lot less available around,” Bell said.

You can find things at the store, but nothing like how your mom would make it, Bell said.

The menu Bell created consists of a wide variety of pies, cobbler, cheesecakes, cakes, cookies and more. Bell explained that the menu rotates, changing flavors and items, including flavors for holidays and events, while still keeping some items consistently on the menu.

All of the items that are made are created from scratch, Bell said. No boxed mixes or premade ingredients are used in the creation of the desserts.

Bell said that in addition to the menu items, they also do custom orders. Late Nite Sweets N Treats will create custom flavors, as well as cater events.

“Anything that you can probably think of for the most part for dessert, we either make it, or when people ask us we will make it,” Bell said.

The menu content and concept for the business helps to set apart Late Nite Sweets N Treats in the market.

“It’s not a flooded market like cupcakes and cookies here where you can find them everywhere,” Bell said.

“You can’t really go anywhere and find cheesecake,” Bell said. “Unless you’re going to the Cheesecake Factory, or a few restaurants here will have a few slices.”

Going forward in the future, Bell hopes to have plans to franchise Late Nite Sweets N Treats.

“I love it for what it is,” Bell said. “It’s a lot of work, but I enjoy it, the people are amazing.”

Late Nite Sweets N Treats had two previous locations from when they opened in 2017, Bell said, but they can now be found at 200 College Street.

Business hours vary, but the shop is open from 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. They are closed Monday and Thursday.
