WKU Softball will compete in the C-USA Softball Tournament beginning Wednesday May 10, at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field in Ruston, Louisiana.

WKU, who was voted second in the conference’s preseason poll, sits in fifth place at the conclusion of the regular season. The fifth place finish is WKU’s third worst since joining Conference-USA in 2015.

However, WKU heads down to the Pelican State playing well, taking victories in their last three conference series. Tournament hosts’ Louisiana Tech were the latest Lady Topper victims, as WKU won two out of three in their series against the Lady Techsters

Fifth year senior Faith Hegh and senior Taylor Sanders were two major pieces of the second best offense in C-USA. The duo combined for 75 RBIs and 16 homers during the 2023 regular season.

WKU will begin their C-USA tournament campaign against the eight seed FIU Golden Panthers. WKU won two out of three in their lone series against the FIU this season. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CST.
