WKU Soccer was held scoreless for the first time this season, as the Lady Toppers drew the North Alabama Lions 0-0 in their Friday night matchup at the WKU Soccer Complex.
WKU’s offense, which has been solid so far this season, scoring nine total goals in their previous four games, was unsuccessful in finding the back of the net against the Lions. The Lady Toppers had plenty of chances in the match however, outshooting the Lions 12-8.
WKU goalie Maddie Davis and her counterpart in goal for North Alabama shined in the shutout. Each keeper saved an impressive six shots in the match.
WKU will look to get back in the win column against the Belmont Bruins on Sunday, September 3, at the WKU Soccer Complex. It’ll be a rematch of an exhibition that took place on August 10, a match WKU won 1-0.
