WKU Men’s Golf finished 12th in the Purdue Fall Classic, hosted by Purdue University on Oct. 9-10. The tournament was played at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course from 7,275 yards with a par of 71.
The first two rounds of the tournament were played on Oct. 9.
After the first 36 holes, WKU shot a cumulative score of 585 (17-over) to find 12th place out of 15 teams.
On the first day, Senior Connery Meyer led the Hilltoppers with two even par scores. He sat in 19th place going into day two. Graduate Student Luke Fuller also posted an even par score in the first round, followed by a 75 in the second 18 holes.
Junior Stephen Warren carded a 76 in the first 18 holes but improved to a 72 in the second round.
On the second day, WKU put up a team score of 296, their highest 18-hole team score of the tournament.
Fuller put together the round low for the Hilltoppers, posting a 73 on the final day of the invitational. Meyer, Warren and redshirt junior Nic Hofman all fired a 74. Senior Aaron Pha closed the tournament with an 81.
WKU Men’s Golf will continue their season in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Xavier Invitational hosted by Xavier University Oct. 16-17.
