WKU Volleyball won its 19th game in a row as they swept FIU at E.A. Diddle Arena Saturday. The Hilltoppers now stand at a 24-4 during the regular season.
The win for the Hilltoppers clinched the C-USA regular season title.
WKU led with a .313 hitting percentage compared to the Panthers .137%. Additionally, the Hilltoppers stole almost twice the amount of kills.Â
With a total of 48 kills from WKU, the junior outside hitter Kaylee Cox stood out with 11 kills this match. The fifth year hitter Paige Briggs (ten kills) and redshirt freshman outside/middle hitter Logan Grevengoed (eight kills) weren’t far behind.Â
Grevengoed dominated defensively as well with five blocks.Â
The Hilltoppers played an impressive serving game with nine aces. Paige Briggs led the team with five aces. The junior outside hitter Katie Howard and sophomore defensive specialist Abby Schaefer both amassed 2 aces.
The next matchup against Middle Tennessee will be Thursday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. CST in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The match can be streamed live and could be the 20th consecutive win for Hilltoppers volleyball.
