WKU alumni and former roommates Jabin Botsford and Demetrius Freeman will return to WKU to present on their careers as photojournalists after their time at WKU on Wednesday, March 13.
The presentation is part of the WKU School of Media John B. At 7:00 p.m., Botsford and Freeman will give a presentation in the Jody Richards Hall Auditorium.
According to the WKU photojournalism department website, Botsford graduated from WKU with a degree in photojournalism and sociology. He began at the Washington Post in 2015 and covered former President Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign.
In 2017 and 2019, Botsford was named White House News Photographers Association Photographer of the Year.
Freeman is a staff political photojournalist at the Washington Post and has a BA in photojournalism with a minor in political science from WKU.

After Biden was elected, Freeman began photographing his time at the White House.
The gallery exhibition with over 60 of Botsford’s and Freeman’s photographs will be displayed from March 13 to April 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while campus is open.
