Bowling Green Police Department arrested WKU Men’s Basketball sophomore guard Jack Edelen early Sunday morning.
He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence and for failing to provide insurance. According to the arrest citation, Edelen was arrested at 2:40 a.m. on University Drive and Normal Street.
“We are aware of the situation regarding Jack Edelen and are addressing it internally,” a WKU athletics spokesperson said in a statement. “WKU will have no further comment at this time.”
The arrest came within 12 hours of Edelen’s five-point outing in WKU’s win against New Mexico State. In his second year as a Hilltopper, Edelen is averaging 2.5 points and 12 minutes per game.
