WKU Men’s Basketball has been active in the transfer portal, signing three players in the week.
Junior forward Drew Fuquay is the most recent commit to the Hilltoppers. Fuquay made two stops before joining WKU. Fuquay began his career at Gillette College, where he averaged 15.5 points and six rebounds per game.
Fuquay finished his sophomore campaign at Marshall, where he played 7.4 minutes per game. He averages 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds. His best performance was a 15-point outburst with five rebounds against Appalachian State.
The Hilltoppers also added freshman Moussa Konare from Trinity Valley Community College.
Konare will add much-needed height for the Hilltoppers, with his 6’10 frame. Konare started 19 games last season, scoring a career-high 13 points.
In his freshman campaign, Konare averaged 5.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Konare shot 71% on the season.
Sophomore guard Sharron Young joined the Hilltoppers after two seasons at Akron, he announced on X.
Young comes off a sophomore campaign where he averaged 7.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Young appeared in 34 games for the Zips this season, starting in 12.
Young went for double-digits in 10 games this season, including a career-high 20 points against Murray State.
Head Coach Hank Plona adds another guard to the Hilltoppers’ stacked guard room, including freshman Armelo Boone, junior LJ Hackman, and redshirt sophomore Teagan Moore.
