WKU volleyball is back in E.A. Diddle Arena this weekend as they host the 14-10 (8-4) New Mexico State Aggies in a two game weekend series.
The Hilltoppers come into the weekend on a 15-game win streak after most recently knocking off UTEP this past weekend to improve to 12-0 in conference play.
The Hilltoppers and Aggies have faced off 12 times and have split the series with six wins each. WKU has won the last three matches via a sweep.
The Aggies come into the weekend series on a four-game win streak where they have not dropped a set. Most recently the Aggies hosted the Liberty Flames in a weekend series.
New Mexico State is led by redshirt junior outside hitter Starr Williams who comes into the series leading the team with 288 kills on the season. Williams is not the only player who has an effective swing as both graduate student right side Yasso Amin and fifth year outside hitter Mari Sharp also have over 200 kills.
The defense is spearheaded by senior middle blocker Nicole Briggs who has 69 blocks on the year.
WKU comes in behind offensive player of the week senior outside hitter Kaylee Cox as well as freshman of the week outside hitter Alivia Skidmore. It is a balanced attack for the Hilltoppers when it comes to the swing as five players have triple digit kills, with Cox leading the way with 323 kills.
The offense is set up behind the superb assist number from redshirt junior setter Callie Bauer who comes into the weekend top five in NCAA division one in assists with 968.
