WKU Volleyball is in E.A. Diddle Arena for their final regular season series Thursday and Friday as they take on the 13-15 (C-USA 7-9) Liberty Flames.
The Hilltoppers are on a dominant stretch. After a 4-6 start, WKU is on a 19-game win streak with a record of 23-6 (C-USA 16-0).
The Hilltoppers look to finish off the regular season with a perfect conference record for the sixth straight year as they have not lost a regular season conference game since the 2018 season.
WKU is led by the lethal swings of outside hitters freshman Alivia Skidmore and senior Kaylee Cox with Cox surpassing 350 kills and Skidmore second on the team with 268. The offense is set up by redshirt junior setter Callie Bauer who comes into the series ranked fourth in Division I with 1,111 assists.
The Hilltoppers defense has also been productive. Sophomore middle hitter Izzy Van De Wiele comes into the series ranked fourth in blocks with 147.
The Liberty Flames are led by senior outside hitter Kate Gammer who has 378 kills and 27 service aces. Liberty’s offense is set up by freshman setter Charli Crowson who has 539 assists. Crowson has been a problem for teams behind the service line as she leads the Flames with 33 aces.
The Hilltoppers and Flames have met three times before their weekend series where the Hilltoppers have seen success in all meetings. Most recently the Flames forced a five-set thriller in 2023 where the Hilltoppers were able to escape.
The first match is set for Thursday, Nov.14 at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
