Editor’s note: The National Weather Service’s winter storm warning for Bowling Green is no longer in effect as of Monday afternoon.
WKU campuses will remain closed Tuesday, Jan. 7 according to a winter weather alert shared with the WKU community via text, email and social media Monday afternoon.
The National Weather Service’s winter storm warning for Bowling Green will last until 6 p.m. on Monday. In a Monday press conference, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear encouraged Kentuckians to stay home to allow utility and transportation workers to restore power and clear roads.
Online classes are not affected by the closure and will continue as scheduled, according to the alert. Employees will return when campus reopens, according to an email sent by WKU spokesperson Jace Lux.
