WKU Men’s Basketball will look to extend their win streak to three games as they host New Mexico State Saturday Afternoon.
The Hilltoppers won their second straight game Thursday off a 78-74 thriller over UTEP. Senior guard Khristian Lander scored a career-high 28 points on 11-of-15 shooting. Fellow senior guard Don McHenry picked up his ninth 20-point performance of the season, this time off the bench, and WKU held off the Miners at home.
The Aggies come to Diddle Arena losing three of their last four. They snapped their three-game losing streak with a 61-57 victory on the road against Middle Tennessee State.
New Mexico State comes with a 12-9 record and 4-4 in conference play. They average 71.5 points per game, which is last in the conference, and allow 66.7 points per game to opponents, which is second last in the conference. The Aggies also lead the conference in opponent field goal percentage with .394%. They have been held under 65 points for five straight games.
The Hilltoppers average 76.9 points per game, which is fourth in the conference. They are in a three-way tie for third place with Kennesaw State and LA Tech.
The Aggies are 2-7 all-time versus the Hilltoppers, and come in on a two-game losing streak. They have never won in Diddle Arena.
