WKU athletics announced an agreement to expand its partnership with WKU PBS Tuesday, which will increase the coverage of the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network starting in the fall.

Fans will now be able to stream WKU soccer, volleyball, softball and baseball games free of charge under the new agreement through HSSN’s Facebook page.

The first game scheduled to be streamed on HSSN’s Facebook page will be the WKU soccer team’s exhibition contest against Wright State at 6 p.m. on Aug. 16.

The full schedule for HSSN’s fall Facebook streaming broadcasts will be released at a later date.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with WKU PBS in the 2019-20 season,” athletic director Todd Stewart said in a release. “The Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network has long been a valuable resource to our fans and our programs in providing top-notch coverage on regional and national platforms and bringing their quality production to additional sports via Facebook streaming is an exciting opportunity to heighten the WKU fan viewing experience.”

Brett Williams, the voice of Lady Topper basketball, will cover soccer, volleyball and softball throughout the season. The Voice of the Hilltoppers, Randy Lee, will continue to call the baseball games chosen for streaming.

For the past 20 years, HSSN has broadcasted Hilltopper and Lady Topper basketball games on WKYU-TV in Bowling Green, ESPN and Fox Regional Networks nationally and the WNBA in Louisville.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with WKU Athletics, continuing our long tradition of broadcasting Hilltopper and Lady Topper games while providing applied research opportunities for WKU students on our production crew,” Jordan Basham, WKU PBS production manager and HSSN executive producer, said in a release.

Games will still be available on Conference USA’s home for live events — CUSA.tv — for those who choose to subscribe. The subscription will include streaming video content of teams all across the conference, including road games for the Hilltoppers and Lady Toppers.

There will be no subscription required to watch events on HSSN.
