Moustapha Diagne has been cleared to play by the NCAA, and will join the team immediately and play at Old Dominion on Thursday, according to WKU.

Diagne is a 6-9, 230 lb redshirt sophomore forward who has not played a game for WKU yet. Following his transfer from Northwest Florida State, the NCAA investigated his eligibility due to what was believed to be concerns with his amateur status.

Diagne now adds to WKU’s deepening roster. The Hilltoppers started the year with just eight active players. Now with Josh Anderson and Diagne being cleared, they’re up to 10.

Diagne averaged 10.2 points and 7.3 rebounds in his freshman season at Northwest Florida State while shooting 48.7 percent from the field. He also started 31 games.

Coming out of high school, ESPN ranked him the No. 58 player in his class. He averaged 14.7 points, 12 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in his senior season at Pope John XXIII High School in Sparta, New Jersey.
