Vice president of development and alumni relations resigns

WKU’s vice president of Development and Alumni Relations Marc Archambault recently resigned from his position.

Archambault was hired as the VP of Development and Alumni Relations June 23. 2015. His resignation will be in effect July 1 when John Paul Blair will step in as interim VP.

Archambault said he will continue to work in his dual position as president of the WKU Foundation until the end of the year. Under his position, Archambault made $208,068 according to FY 2016-2017 budget information.

According to a memorandum issued by President Gary Ransdell, Archambault’s salary will be reduced to 60% of his current salary which is $144,870. 

Archambault said he and President Ransdell reflected over the successes of the past year and tried to decide what was best for the capital campaign which resulted in Archambault’s resignation.

Archambault said president-elect, Tim Caboni, wanted to bring in his own talent.

Archambault said he is unaware of who will permanently fill the position and has already received inquiries from other institutions.
