The Kentucky Alcoholic Beverage Control approved Aramarks’s request for a liquor license on Tuesday Gary Meszaros, assistant vice president of auxiliary services confirmed.

Aramark reapplied for the license in the fall after failing to receive approval the previous semester.

A soft reopening for Topper Grill and Pub is planned for Monday, Jan. 30, with the new alcoholic beverage menu.

After getting the license approval, coolers to hold beers and taps were installed, Meszaros said. Signs for beer companies like Budweiser have also been installed to make the restaurant feel more like a pub.

“We are not sure how many people to expect, but it probably won’t be that busy to begin with,” Meszaros said.
