Governor Matt Bevin appoints two people to WKU Board of Regents

Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed two new members to the Board of Regents.

Julie Hinson and Jason McKinney have been appointed to the Board, according to a release from the Governor’s office.

Hinson is replacing Melissa Dennison and McKinney is replacing Laurence Zielke. Both Dennison and Zielke’s terms on the Board of Regents expired in June of this year.

Dennison is a pediatrician from Glasgow where she’s been with the Glasgow Pediatric Association since 1997, according to her regent bio. She served as Vice Chair.

Zielke is Principal of Zielke Law Firm, PLLC, in Louisville. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville, and he is admitted to practice law both in Kentucky and Florida. He served as a regent.

Both Hinson and McKinney will serve on the board until their terms expire on June 30, 2022.

Hinson is a member of the presidential search committeepresident of the WKU Alumni Association and a founding member of the WKU Sisterhood.

She is also the president and CEO of Advanced Lifeline Services, Inc., which is headquartered in Louisville. 

McKinney is originally from Bowling Green and has been in the field of accounting since 1999, according to his bio on McKinney Woosley LLP where he serves as a partner in the firm.  

Both earned their undergraduate degrees from WKU.
