Four Hilltoppers saw their names listed to the 2016 preseason Conference-USA Coaches All-Conference team, released by the league office on Wednesday.

Redshirt senior offensive tackle Forrest Lamp, senior wide receiver Taywan Taylor and redshirt senior Anthony Wales all garnered recognition on the league’s offensive team while redshirt junior wide receiver Kylen Towner was named the preseason kick returner of the year.

No defensive players from WKU were recognized on the defensive side of the all-conference team.

Lamp, an Outland and Wuerfell Trophy Watch Lister, was named a Second Team All-American by ProFootballFocus.com and the top tackle from the Group of 5 leagues by the publication, while also earning a place on the All-C-USA first team.

According to a WKU Athletics press release, Lamp did not allow a tackle and just 11 pressures as a junior and has started 39 consecutive games, encompassing his entire career on The Hill.

Taylor and Wales have represented WKU on the Biletnikoff and Doak Walker Watch Lists, respectively.

Taylor set single-season records for yards (1,467) receptions (86) and touchdown catches (17) last season.

Wales gave WKU a 1,000-yard rusher in six consecutive seasons, the third-longest streak in the nation, as he rushed for 1,091 yards in just nine games while averaging seven yards a carry. He also scored a total of nine touchdowns last season.

Towner returned 32 kicks for 758 yards with one kick return touchdown last season and his 23.7 return average leads all kick returners heading into 2016. Of the top 10 returners in 2015, Towner is the only returner to tally a kick return touchdown.
