On Tuesday afternoon, Conference USA announced that senior infielder Danny Hudzina and sophomore designated hitter Kaleb Duckworth were both named First Team All C-USA.

Hudzina finished his last season at WKU with one of the better seasons in recent memory for a WKU player as he was the first player to have a batting average over .400 since 1997. He managed to hit .408 on the season.

Hudzina also managed to finish the season with the tenth-most hits by a Hilltopper in a single season with 89 on the year.

Duckworth finished the season with a .329 batting average while he also managed to hit 68 RBI’s, which tied him with for twelfth place overall in the conference.

Voting on the first team was done by C-USA head coaches, baseball sports information directors and a select media member for each school.

The Hilltoppers were one of four teams to have multiple representatives on the All C-USA first team, joining Marshall, Rice and Southern Miss.

Since 2008, WKU has had a player receive first-team honors in every season but one and had multiple players earn first-team accolades in five of those years.
