WKU linebacker arrested for trafficking a controlled substance

WKU police arrested redshirt freshman linebacker Der’Quione Mobley on campus Monday night and charged him with trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

Mobley was arrested with another person who both stated they had marijuana in their backpacks. They both consented to a search of their bags. Mobley’s backpack held a mason jar with 1.25 ounces of marijuana inside of it. The other person’s backpack held 1.14 ounces of marijuana, as well as a scale, plastic baggies and cash. 

Mobley was released from the Warren County Jail on $6000 bond. A court date was set for Sept. 11.
