Conference-USA announced today that the league is set to add a 12th member, the Missouri State Bears.
Missouri State already made its C-USA debut in the 2024 beach volleyball season, however the Bears are set to become a full member beginning July 1, 2025.
The Bears are set to become the seventh new addition to the league since 2023. Missouri State, along with current conference members Jacksonville State and Sam Houston State and future additions Kennesaw State and Delaware, will make the move to C-USA from the Football Championship Subdivision ranks.Â
Since Missouri State began competition at the FCS/I-AA ranks in 1981, the Bears have made four FCS playoff appearances. The Bears most recent appearances came in 2020 and 2021, led by former Hilltopper head coach Bobby Petrino. In total, Missouri State has tallied 79 NCAA Division I postseason appearances amongst its teams.
