Toppers release full 2013-14 schedule

WKU released its full men’s basketball schedule today and the Toppers will play a school-record 18 games at Diddle Arena.

 

The team will open play on Nov. 2 in an exhibition game against Campbellsville University. From there, the Toppers will open the regular season, with 17 more home games and another 14 on the road.

 

Notable home stints include games against Southern Miss on Dec. 18, Murray State on Dec. 21 and Ole Miss on Dec. 30.

 

On the road, the Toppers will face 2013 Final Four finalist Wichita State in the regular season opener on Nov. 11 and defending 2013 NCAA champions Louisville on Dec. 14.

 

WKU, back-to-back winner of the Sun Belt Conference Championship, will defend the conference crown from March 13-16 in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, with the NCAA tournament beginning on March 18.

 

Hilltopper Hysteria, the free event that officially tips off the 2013-14 season, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19 with activities beginning at Diddle Arena at 6 p.m.
