Severe thunderstorms hit Bowling Green Thursday, causing damage around town and minor damage to WKU.

Several windows were reported to have been shattered across campus.

A female was injured in Barnes Campbell Hall after her window shattered. She refused to be taken to the hospital and the injury didn’t seem serious, according to the WKU Police Department.

Helen Siewers, landscape architect at WKU, said several large trees near Florence Schneider Hall had fallen, in addition to large limbs scattered about campus.

Where power was interrupted, it was restored by around 11 a.m., Siewers said.
