The Lady Toppers have walked onto another opponent’s home court seven times in 2011-2012.

WKU has lost all seven times by an average of 19.6 points per game.

The Lady Toppers have an eighth shot at their first road win at 7 p.m. Wednesday night against North Texas in the Super Pit in Denton, Texas.

It’ll be the first time WKU (5-10, 3-1 Sun Belt Conference) has played the Mean Green (9-8, 2-2) in Denton since Feb. 6, 2008.

The Lady Toppers go into Denton winners of two straight games for the first time this season.

WKU’s wins in the past week over Louisiana-Lafayette and Troy have the Lady Toppers second in the Sun Belt East division to Middle Tennessee State (4-0).

Senior forwards LaTeira Owens and Keshia Mosley each turned in dominating performances during the two wins.

Mosley scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in WKU’s win over the Ragin’ Cajuns on Jan. 4.

Meanwhile Owens, who was held scoreless against ULL, dropped 21 points on the Trojans Saturday in a 26-point victory.

The pair of senior forwards lead WKU in scoring coming into Wednesday, Owens with 10.1 points per game and Mosley at 9.2 a game.

The Mean Green, one of the teams the Lady Toppers beat last March on a run to the Sun Belt Tournament Championship Game, have already won more game this season (nine) than they did all of last year (five).

North Texas is led in scoring by forward Jasmine Godbolt (13.8 ppg) and guard Tamara Torru (12.1 ppg).

Godbolt also leads the Mean Green in rebounds per game (8.4) while Torru paces the team in assists (1.9 per game).
