“Very classy” was the way Class of 2013 quarterback prospect Clark Kissick of Bath County (Ky.) High School described his recent visit to WKU.

Kissick, a 6’1″, 240 pound junior, made an unofficial visit to WKU over the weekend to see the Toppers play Navy.

“That’s probably the prettiest campus I’ve ever been on,” he said. “And I was really impressed with the weight room. It was on the same level of almost all of the SEC schools I’ve been to.”

Kissick, who has yet to receive any scholarship offers or make any official visits, is a self-described pocket passer.

“I’m not going to take off and run around people,” Kissick said. “My game is being accurate and making a high percentage of my throws.”

Through three games this season, Kissick is 25-of-61 for 372 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions.

He said he liked the youth of WKU’s coaching staff.

“95 percent of the coaches are fairly young,” Kissick said. “It gave everything more of an upbeat feel. It wasn’t like they’ve been there 100 years.”

According to his personal Twitter account, Kissick is flying Thursday morning to Starkville, Miss., to make an unofficial visit to Mississippi State on the night of their matchup with Louisiana State.

Kissick told the Herald he would then be in Lexington Saturday for Kentucky’s matchup with Louisville.

He said he also plans to visit Indiana and Purdue this fall.
