SGA Notes: Ambriz joins presidential race after deadline extended

At tonight’s Student Government Association meeting:

-The deadline for applying to be a senator or to hold an executive branch spot was pushed back until today. Senator Diego Leal Ambriz will now be running for SGA President against Billy Stephens, who was unopposed as of the original deadline.

-Administrative Vice President Wade Pierce said the last organizational aid bill will be up for approval next week. He said there is $6,147.26 remaining in general senate funding.

-A total of $500 was allocated from general student funding to create study away scholarships. Five students will receive $100 scholarships for the summer.

-$552.26 has been allocated to the United Students for Fair Trade National Convergence conference to fund the screen printing for their fair trade t-shirts.
