WKU’s Owensboro, Glasgow, Elizabethtown, Fort Knox and Radcliff campuses will be closed Friday due to weather, according to text messages sent on Thursday afternoon by the university.

The main campus has not announced closures as a snow storm sweeps over much of Kentucky. A winter weather advisory for Bowling Green will be in effect until 12 a.m. CT Friday.

Original predictions by the National Weather Service called for one-to-four inches of snow in the Bowling Green area, with most falling during the early afternoon.

Registrar Freida Eggleton said in an e-mail to faculty Thursday that the deadlin to submit winter term grades has been extended to Wednesday because of the regional campus closings.
